Kisi and Genea Integration: AI Video Security Meets Access Control
Our newest integration with Kisi and Genea marks a significant step forward in unified physical security. Organizations can now create a more intelligent and secure environment by combining Lumana's AI-powered video capabilities with enterprise access control systems.
To set up the integration, navigate to your organization settings > integrations and select the desired system. From there, enter the API key provided by your access control system into Lumana and connect. It's that simple!
Through this integration, Lumana automatically indexes video for all access control events, enabling seamless visual authentication of visitors through the platform. Security teams can control doors directly within VMS+ while our AI monitoring provides real-time alerts for tailgating incidents. This unified approach means teams no longer need to switch between systems – all video footage and access events are searchable from the Lumana interface.

Real-World Impact
Consider a scenario where security needs to investigate an after-hours access event. Previously, this would require checking multiple systems, manually matching timestamps, and piecing together evidence. Now, the process is streamlined into a single workflow. Security teams can search the access event, immediately view the associated footage, and verify the event – all from one interface. What previously took hours can now be accomplished in minutes while maintaining a complete audit trail.
Enhanced Workplace Safety: PPE Detection - Safety Vests
Building on our commitment to workplace safety, we've expanded our AI detection capabilities to include safety vest detection. This enhancement works alongside our existing safety helmet detection to provide comprehensive PPE compliance monitoring across your facilities.
To try this feature, navigate to the Smart Search interface and select safety vests as an attribute. You can also navigate to the alert creation page to set up an alert when safety vests are detected/not detected in your environment.
Lumana can continuously monitor for proper safety vest usage, enabling real-time alerts, AI-powered search, and automated response. Additionally, safety managers can customize detection rules and generate dashboards to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Real-World Impact
At a busy construction site with multiple entry points and dozens of workers, enhanced PPE detection creates new possibilities for safety management. The site safety manager can simultaneously monitor compliance across all access points. When workers enter without proper PPE, the system generates immediate alerts, allowing quick intervention. Over time, the accumulated data helps identify patterns – perhaps certain times of day or specific locations where compliance tends to drop. This intelligence enables targeted improvements to safety protocols and more effective training programs.
Camera Shortcuts: Streamlined Navigation
Our new camera shortcuts feature has revolutionized how security teams navigate between cameras. This feature allows operators to follow subjects across multiple camera views with a single click, maintaining continuous surveillance without losing sight of critical events.
To try this out, navigate to a live camera feed. A shortcut will automatically appear if a camera is available, allowing you to jump directly to that camera.
Camera shortcuts visually indicate the relationship between cameras, making it immediately clear which views might capture the next movement of a subject.

Real-World Impact
This feature can transform how loss prevention teams respond to suspicious activity in a retail environment. When an alert comes in, teams can jump into the camera and easily follow subjects throughout the facility. Each camera view suggests logical viewpoints, eliminating the guesswork and delays that often occur when tracking movement across multiple cameras.
Additional Updates
Our commitment to continuous improvement extends beyond these major features. Here are additional enhancements in this release:
- Enhanced Dashboard Flexibility - View event clips and counts within dashboards with dynamic updates based on specific cameras, locations, and objects
- Back from Offline Alerts - Customize alert behavior and timing when systems restore from offline mode
- Alert Group Scheduling - Create and manage alert groups with customizable arm/disarm schedules for streamlined alert management
- Time Schedules - Save alert schedules to your organization database for easy assignment and tracking
- Direct Camera Search - Filter camera footage directly on the camera page for people, faces, vehicles, and license plates
Getting Started
